Its $50 + $1 per 1000 messages uploaded. There is no charge for multiple groups. First… you need to install the program, so here it is: https://www.dropbox.com/s/i6uk25z1sfm7j3g/PGOGroups%20v.1.0.7.3.zip?dl=0 Just run the .exe in the zip file. Before you start: My recommendation is to create a sub group of your groups.io main group called "Yahoo Archive" or similar and create a burner account on Gmail, join groups.io with that account and change its display name on groups.io to “Yahoo Archive” or similar when you do the actual posting. All posted messages, files & photos will appear to come from that account. It is not possible to retain the original attribution as that would require that every group member that ever posted in YG join your group and then you would need to log in & out of each members account to post as them. Searching messages will still work because the original YG message number, poster & date/time of posting are retained in the message body. Obviously, when you set the sub group up, do not invite anyone to it till you’ve loaded the archive data and set your own Notifications to off for the sub group or you’ll get an email for every message you add. Also, make sure “moderation” is OFF for the user you use to do the posting. OPTIONALLY….. create a free throw away group to do testing in to make sure you’re getting what you expect before you load the “real thing”. N.B. groups.io has a bug whereby a "#" character in the subject line will cause all subsequent HTML posts to posts as plain text i.e. all the html tags will be visible. You can avoid this by setting Hashtag Permissions in groups.io Admin--> settings--> Hashtag Permissions to "Messages from subscribers can only be tagged with existing hashtags, new hashtags will be removed." Later versions (> 1.0.7.0) of PGO-2-GIO will auto-replace the "#" character with the text string "number". Instructions for use: 1. You need to load your group data. Choose File -- > Select Database file The data is typically in C:/Users/<your_username/AppData/Local/PG Offline 4/ygroups.db3 2. You need to enter your login details. Choose Account -- > Login details for Groups.io 3. You need to enter the target URL of the groups.io group. E.g. https://hobbicast-coffee-lounge-theology.groups.io/g/archive 4. Optionally check that all attachments are present. Group -- > Check for Missing Attachments. 5. Select your group. Just click on the group name. 6. Press start. Just accept the default loading settings. 7. Data is loaded. 8. You’ll hit the trial limit 9. Now enter your reg code. VERY IMPORTANT… after you enter the reg code you CANNOT add more data. Add any groups you want to load into groups.io BEFORE you enter the reg code. 10. Hit start again. Data continues to load. 11. Loading files. Choose Files & Photos -- > Upload Files. Browse to your files folder in your PGO install folder. C:/Users/<your_username/AppData/Local/PG Offline 4/Files/ Select the correct folder. Optionally check or uncheck sub folders to load or ignore. Choose OK. Choose start. 12. Loading photos. Choose Files & Photos -- > Upload Photos. Browse to your photos folder in your PGO install folder. C:/Users/<your_username/AppData/Local/PG Offline 4/Photos/ Select the correct folder. Optionally check or uncheck sub folders to load or ignore. Choose OK. Choose start. NOTE: groups.io does not allow Photos directly in the root folder of its photo group. P2G will create an eponymously named folder to store any photos found in the root of the PGO photos folder. So if you group is called “Mygroup”, P2G will create a folder called “Mygroup” and store any photos found in the root of the PGO photos folder there. If it goes wrong. 1. You have the option to delete messages already written. Choose Group-- > Delete all messages from Groups.io 2. Reset message state. You can reset the message state from Finished to Not Started in order to reload messages you have deleted. When you choose Start it will continue with the first Not Started record. You can change the message state in Group--> Reset message state (remember to select a group first!) Cheers, Wilson.
